Homo Erectus People

Homo erectus learned to make fire. A roaring campfire gave protection to the tribe. They used it for weapons against the animals. They had fire-making tools. They found out fire was warm. They put it in thier homes and used it to cook. They got fire from lightning. Most animals were afraid of fire. The fire gave them protection from tigers, leopards and hyenas. Homo Erectus were the form of early humans after the Homo Habilis. They were very hairy creatures. The Homo Erectus were starting to look like humans. They sharpened their tools by hitting them against a rock. Their tool-making skills were improved. Their weapons included stone axes and knives. Homo Erectus man was probably the first hunter.
